Events in Derbyshire & Nottinghamshire
The Society
has a number of active members who organise and run events on
a regular basis a number of which are listed below.
Additionally
individuals or groups of members hold their own field trips, recording events
and activities throughout the year. Some of these are often on
the spur of the moment, or with only a couple of days notice.
These event details, where
possible, will be advertised on this web site so check this page
often.
If you wish to attend an event it is your responsibility to get in contact with the event leader.
Please
remember that events are subject to change and are dependant on
the weather so it is essential that you check this website often and confirm with the organiser that the event
is going ahead, especially if the weather is bad. Also remember
to bring suitable footwear, clothing, and equipment (such as torches)
to events.
All individuals attending an event should ensure that they have read and understood the Risk Assessment document. The purpose of this document is to highlight the risks and hazards which may be encountered during an event together with actions for mitigation.
The leader, organiser or nominated contact of a field meeting must ensure participants are aware of this document prior to the event taking place. Members inviting non-members to an event should ensure that they are also aware of the Risk Assessment document and understand it.
If you
have an appropriate event for inclusion on this website, please
